Last year, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, a mid-range 7 series Mobile Platform, signifying a significant advancement over the 7 Gen 1. Despite the subsequent release of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, it fell short in terms of power compared to the robust capabilities of the 7+ Gen 2. According to leaks from Digital Chat Station, Qualcomm is currently developing the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, identified by the model number SM7675.

The leaker revealed that this upcoming chipset is poised to adopt the 1-5-2 microarchitecture, aligning it with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This mirrors the approach taken by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, which utilized the 1+3+4 architecture akin to the 8+ Gen 1.

If these speculations hold true, we can anticipate the inclusion of Cortex-X4-based prime cores, Cortex A720-based performance cores, and Cortex-A520-based efficiency cores—mirroring the configuration found in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The leaker suggests that this chipset could potentially become the most potent Snapdragon 7 series chip to date, owing to the incorporation of such high-performance cores.

If realized, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is expected to surpass the capabilities of the MediaTek Dimensity 8300, currently recognized as the most powerful mid-range System-on-Chip (SoC) from MediaTek, as the latter relies solely on A715 and A510 cores.

Given the introduction of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 in March of the previous year, it is reasonable to anticipate the unveiling of its successor in the coming months. Notably, only two devices, the HONOR 100 and vivo S18, embraced the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip throughout the preceding year.
